Hello again. In this post I’ll tell you about a movie that I really like: “Palmeras en la Nieve”.  I like this movie because it mixes a love story with processes or historical moments. In addition, it tells the story in two periods or time, past and present, then I find it much more interesting, as there is a mystery between both time that has to be discovered. Hello, this week’s blog is a really important topic: gender roles and stereotypes. The relevance of this topic is because it is very present in the Chilean society, in the day to day. You can always find examples in everyday life of today’s societies. An example of this is the sexist stereotypes or the stereotypes of beauty. Although the first has been declining due to feminist movements, there ir still a long way to eradicate machismo. Regarding the stereotypes of beauty, these are very present. People always judge by being tall, low, thin, fat and a countless number more. Here you only have a kind of beauty that has certain characteristics, everything else is excluded.
